Help! I have started off this new year off running way toooooo fast. Going to have to slow it down or go insane. Tuesday shipped all but one kiddo back to school. Showered and put on my face, put in a load of wash, folded another, bathed and dressed the last little person and loaded her, 2 backpacks and a wheelchair in the car....headed out to feed the goats and chickens. Then dropped off little one with my mom for a couple hours so I could attend Court for the little ones. By the time we had lunch and got home it was 1:30....pack the little one back in the house and take care of her needs then pick up the phone to make a few calls to try to track down a copy of an IEP. Left messages for people to call me back.....put in another load of wash and folded the one in the dryer. Then I glanced at the clock and it was 2:45...time to load little one back into the car and go pick up the others one at 3:00 and then one at 3:20 so we could make it to LaJara by 4:00 for Madison's first Jr. High basketball game. As I am walking out the door the phone rings and it is the people I was trying to get in touch with earlier. 10 minutes later I head to the school. Madison did a great job in her basketball game...made a fast break layup right at the final buzzer. That was so cool! One game down and one to go so we hurried back to Alamosa to watch Kassie play in her game. She did very well and we had a good time with family. Get home bath everyone and put them to bed. I was feeling so proud of myself for making it through the day and then realized....this was my day off and I was supposed to clean my house today. Yikes! As I packed backpacks and tried to get ready for early departure for 4 kiddos I did my best to pick up and make my house look better.
Woke up Wed. morning to Kassie very ill. Sore throat, swollen glands and a super bad cough. Greg and I got everyone else off to school then I scheduled an appointment for Kass to see the doctor. I had to reschedule 2 of my ladies at the salon but made that work. Got Kassie all taken care of and took a paper by to the school for Madison...try to go to work for a while only to have to hurry to a meeting at one of the schools. Then I get a phone call from Maddie....she needs me to take money by the school for a t- shirt (mom hurry I will have to run 10 suisides if you don't have it here by practice)...so what do I do....I hurry over there and save her life. Then back to work (late ) and finish my last ladies in time to hurry home for physical therapy session with one of the little ones. I come home to 2 little ones who have had a bad day at school. One doesn't feel well and the other one is totaly stressed out about some issues we can't seem to fix at school. Up most of the night with one sick, one crying, and one coughing. I think that gives you a good idea of the speed I am running at. Today was a much better day with only a few hoops to jump through. Time to set some boundaries.
